At Resilience Nutrition, our focus is completely on you, your health, and your fitness goals, whatever they may be. Coaching, Education, Support, and Total Transparency.
At Resilience Nutrition we work with you to provide an individualized nutrition and/or training program, designed just for you based on your lifestyle in order for you to reach your personal health and fitness goals. We do this through providing you with one-on-one coaching, education, support, and total transparency. 

Your program is built upon a quick and easy new client questionnaire that will provide us with the information we need to get you started. Your nutrition program will be based on a macronutrient prescription that is specifically designed with you in mind! Your training program, if selected, will be designed to work with what is available to you and the specific discipline you choose to follow.
It's Quite Simply Actually.
1.  Sign up and select your program. You will receive a follow up email within 48 hours with a new client questionnaire. 
2.  Email your answers and starting photos back to us so we can get to know you and your individual goals.
3.  You will receive your individualized program within 5 days of submitting your information.
4.  Check-in with your coach 1-2 times per week on things like your body weight, your macros, measurements, your workout results, and any other questions or things you would want to share. 
5.  Feel free to contact your coach with any questions or concerns at any time.
6.  Follow your program with 100% dedication and integrity and you will reap the rewards.
7.  Be proud of your progress because you have worked hard for it!
This program is all-inclusive.

MEET YOUR COACH

James Whelan, RD - CEO and Head Coach

James began his athletic career playing soccer where he went on to co-captain his high school's State Champion Team in 2009. He later went on to play two years of collegiate level soccer at Rochester Insititute of Technology while pursuing a degree in graphic arts, however, once he found CrossFit in 2012 everything was turned upside down.

James fell in love with the CrossFit community and decided to make a career change in order to obtain a degree in Nutrition Management to later become a Registered Dietitian and pursue a career in the field of Sports Nutrition and Wellness.

Since 2012, James has fully immersed himself within the fitness community and has been coaching individuals of all skill levels since 2013. James has also found success in the sport of CrossFit, finishing in the Top 100 in the 2014 CrossFit Open for the North East Region, individually qualifying for Wodapoolza 2016, and finishing 8th in the Community Team division at the 2016 Granite Games.

I have been following James' programming exclusively for the last 2 years. During my first year committing to this programing I landed 79th after the masters qualifiers, this past year I finished 23rd. Over the last year I competed at both Granite Games and Wodapalooza. At Granite Games I finished 14th, and 4 months later finished 7th at Wodapalooza against games level athletes. This past September I started working with James on my nutrition, focusing on improving performance. Previously I ate pretty strict paleo, which left me feeling fatigued and sore with high volume training. Counting macronutrients laid out in my individualized nutrition plan has improved my overall performance, recovery, and energy level. Having James as a nutrition coach holds me accountable, helping me stay on track with my goals.

As I was considering joining the Resilience Nutrition team I knew that I could lose some weight without too much help. What I did not know was how to effectively lose the weight that I wanted to while maintaining my strength and endurance as a passionate CrossFit athlete. Resilience Nutrition and Coach James taught me exactly that. During our 12-weeks together I learned how to balance my personal and social lives while being able to supply my body with the nutrients it needed to perform and recover at the level I expect. Finding that balance and being comfortable with it is something that I will be able to take with me for the rest of my life instead of just in this 3-month challenge I put before myself. I can't thank Coach James enough for his support in helping me make these transformational lifestyle changes.
I've had the privilege of working with James over the past few years. Recently, I have been following his strength and conditioning program. Over the past 2 months I've seen a 35 lb increase in my max Clean and Jerk. Overall, I have seen gains in nearly all of my lifts and have seen improvement in my conditioning.

About 1.5 years into CrossFit I wasn't seeing all of the changes in my body that I was excepting to see with daily high-intensity workouts. I had seen a few friends post about counting macros and this seemed to be a sustainable lifestyle change that would help me reach my goals but I had no idea where to start. This is when I reached out to James for help. I have now been working with James for about 2 years and have seen drastic changes in not only my body but also in my workouts at the gym. Resilience Nutrition has been an educational resource that has led to changes in my food consumption and body composition. At Christmas time I weighed more than I ever had in my life. I was feeling discouraged and wondered if my best years were behind me. I participated in a strict paleo challenge in January and lost 13 pounds, but knew, after so many of those paleo challenges, I would gain it back. I decided I'd rather spend my money on getting, and staying, healthy than on a new wardrobe. I started working with James at Resilience Nutrition and haven't looked back! James is so supportive and helpful and very smart about how he approaches healthy eating. I've been consistently tracking my macros and eating much healthier than I ever have been. I honestly could not have done this without James and his ongoing support! My performance at the gym has been improving dramatically as well. I am so excited, my best years are NOT behind me!
